@ freedom83: Did I get this right? You started with a Dingo, put the Defender body on it and then changed it to the Clodbuster, right? Did you have to change the wheelbase somewhere in that process?

You inspired me so much! Thank you for all your advice! Here is what I will build now: Dingo with Clodbuster-Body, ordered the grille too. Not sure about electronics, but now my paint job works out too! The pick up from Colt Seavers "The Fall Guy" - that 80s TV show - it shall be. Typically for the 80s: brown body with gold on the side - what a classic of my childhood. Yeeeehhaaaawww! Hope to get my 30 posts, so I can post pictures of it once I started

I mount serbo in frame To prevent movement of the spindles to cushion and to not put panhard bar, I double mounted forwarding address as many 1/1

Tested and finished

I had to raise the body a little more, but it fit with no problem

Has anyone an idea, where you might get the front grille seen in the Colt Seavers? The only ones I can find, are practical but do not look scale and 80s - I guess i will have to build my own. Got all my parts for my project now

That's where I ordered mine too :-) They even sent me the light covers and little signs for the sides and back saying "Sierra Grande 2500".

I want to do one of these also because I think it looks way better than the pro line body. My dad has a 86 Chevy custom deluxe and I would like to try and replicate it. Great work by the way! :beer:

Hard body is the way to go! So much more scale. Mine is going to be the fall guy - brown and gold... hahaha! Found a nice old 6" figure from the Waltons on ebay - have to change the clothes to make her look like Heather!

In the long run I might want to go for a converted Clodbuster-to-a-Blazer with a hard top in the back, 'cause that's what my Dad drove in the 80s :-)
