Default New and Need Help

Hi everybody, I've decided to jump into the RC Crawler world after being out of the 1:1 world for a couple years. I have a chance to buy a used one with some upgrades and was wondering if it's worth getting and if what's included is any good. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

axial scx10 with a jeep body. It has rc4wd tires(proline wheels), metal bumper, working winch and MIP driveshafts. Also included is a traxxas esc and 15t motor, tamiya motor, and a Futaba high torque servo and Gmade shocks. I HAVE INSTALLED A DSM2 RADIO SYSTEM TO GO WITH THE TRUCK transmitter and receiver

Well you didn't mention what you gave for it so I.can't really say if its a bargain but its a great rig. As far as the esc its a great starter, little difficult on long climbs because of the lack of a hill brake. The motor seems a little fast, I prefer more around 27t. Tires are good but I've found Proline tires to grip better. Great rig tho! Good luck and welcome to RC crawlin!

Well I haven't bought it yet. I'm really trying to see if I want to buy my own and build it or buy a pre-built one as a starting point.

I would be patient and wait til someone puts one on the Bay with a buy it now price around 200 or less. I have bought 3 off there and never paid more than 175. You can find better deals you just hv to watch close. But that's just my opinion.

Man, you are lucky. All SCX10 I watched went over $500 last minute. And I thought I had a good deal $400 for Honcho with HH BRXL 35T, TSLs on beadlocks and lots of spare parts.

Well I picked it up. I'm very much an instant gratification kind of person and this one kept speaking to me. Plans are a higher torque motor and run it till something breaks. Thanks for the help. I'm looking forward to my new XJ.
