| 8 hole beadlocks
I got a nice of used Axial beadlocks. One of the holes, however, is stripped and I need to fill and re-tap. How do you all go about repairing this condition? |

Mount the tire and tighten down all of the the other screws first. Put CA glue into the stripped out hole and then tighten the screw.

| Re: 8 hole beadlocks This works, but better to buy a bunch of 2-56 x 3/8 buttonhead screws from McMaster.com or somebody and replace all the 2x10mm screws. the slightly larger screws hold better, look better and it's easier to feel when they are getting tight without stripping the hole.

Why not just shift the ring a few degrees and drill new holes?

Haven't stripped one out yet. They do look alot better and stainless will resist gouging/galling alot more than black oxide also. Although you'll have to either drill out the stock rings or pick up some Mthead rings. | |
