Default Rainy Day Jeep Build

Ive wanted to do a JK for a while so I sold off a rig and some crap I had laying around. After about two weeks of collecting parts I had everything I needed. I didn't take a lot of pics through out the build, we all know how it goes together, I ust wanted to show off my hard work! I needs to make my body more unique though.

Here's a little build thread.

SCX10 Chassis is got in a trade. Pulled all of the stock screws and replaced with Stainless.

After about 3 hours of axle building, and link installing I got everything put together and running smooth. I went with the RC4WD Pro 10s, I think it gives it the old Renegade look.

Also kept the stock tires, I like the look of them. I searched around on here trying to find the best way to remove them, went with the baking method.
It worked out great popped right off.

I went with the Holmes Hobbies Torque Master BR-XL and Expert 55 Turn Motor. Im running it on 3S. The low end power and smoothness is crazy.

Did a little work on the body too. Added a RC4WD Winch. Getting a VP light bar soon. Also reamed out the fog light holes to install LEDs, and added lights to the hood. Still need to figure out something for the main headlights. Even added the scale brake rotors.

Thats it for now. Ill update it once i get more work done. I haven't decided on a canvas top or the hard top....

Looks like to need to shorten the front upper links or lengthen the lowers. The steering arms should not be pointed down. Make sure you have the links right. On Vanquish's site they have a video for the Curries, at the 3 minute mark they go through what links go where.

Looking good but you might need to change the links around to get the front axle into the right position. If you wanna use the longer shocks on your rubicon, a droop kit would be an option for you.

Yeah you were right, I had the front uppers on upside down. Thanks for pointing that out.

And yes those are the King 100mm, the truck did not sit that high with the stock axles the Curries mounts are a little higher. Guess Ill swap some links around.

Just flip the link mounts 180*. That will lower it some. If you look at them they are offset maybe half an inch.

Got my links flipped around, I had the front Uppers/Lowers switched. That's what was causing the front axle to be rotated forward. Everything is sitting nice and level now.

Getting that fixed dropped the suspension back down to where it should be, and it looks like it got a little more flex in the process. Time to take it outside.

Any chance you could give me the measurements of your lower links, both front and rear? A fairly accurate eye to eye measurement would be fine.

I will keep my servo on the axle and the performance if it there over having simply a more scale look.
