Default Summit trans vs rc4wd?

What are the pro and con of each? Starting a new build and I would like to have a 2 speed.

Thanks

the summit transmission is huge, but wont brake. the rc4wd transmission is smaller, but doesnt have a lot of available parts. because of that, i'd go with the summit transmission.

The summit trans is definitely bulletproof but huge and requires a mount. The rc4wd trans is a simple bolt on setup but I've personally witnessed an output snap. Pick your poison.

I did some research last night on a summit mount but I couldn't find one that was still in production. Anyone have a lead on one?

To make the summit tranny fit the scx10 chassis. You will have to make a custom mount for it.

I am looking into using the Summit trans too because traxxas parts are easily available.
