AX2 Tranny

I started a project and I was thinking of putting a 2 speed AX2 tranny in the truck. I'm making a mud, trail and some crawling truck, but mostly mud since I have a AX10 for crawling. There's three questions to this. The first is what's the thought of the AX2 tranny? The Second question is will it work with a double motor mount? the last is I was thinking of using 27 turn brushed motors( if the double mount works) since it will be in the water and mud. What motors would you use with this tranny and double mount if you were doing this? Remember I want some speed to go with the torque( why the double 27s) to pull through mud, not just torque since it won't be climbing as much. I'm running 2.2 Super Swamper TSL Boggers. Which are almost 6" tall.
