Need help

Hey There,

I just received my new Jeep Rubicon RTR rig and I have a question; I would like to slow it down a bit, what gear do I replace and which one do i get??
I want it to crawl not be a speed demon. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I have not changed anything and I'm using the Axial radio with a 7.4 5000 mAh Lipo.

If you want to use the stock motor you have a couple of options.

1.) use a smaller tooth motor pinion gear...Your stock pinion should be a 20 tooth...You can go to a 16t pinion or maybe smaller..but always make sure your motor isn't getting to hot.

2.) You can use a larger spur gear..Your stock gear should be an 87 tooth...I would try a 90t with the stock 20t motor pinion..same effect but again watch motor temp.

3.) Your third option is to run a higher turn motor..Should you decide to do this you can try a 35 turn or even a 55 turn but go back to your stock gearing and start over watching your motor temps.

I recommend trying a 16 tooth motor pinion with the stock motor and spur gear...see how you like that and go from there.
