I say why bother on that model? It looks good without one and is lighter up high. The tire adds weight way up there! Just my crappy opinion. :P

That was one thing I was curious about. Parker is known for having some crazy courses or mid course tire changes, and a staple in the list of stuff for almost every g6 is a spare is recommended/not required( in some I have seen a spare is mandatory) so to me a g6 rig should have a spot for a spare.

I concur that's why mentioned that "a spare tire is highly recommended, but not mandatory" in my build thread and decided to have a place for my spare if I needed to carry one.

The OP was asking how people are mounting their spare time and not if it looks good or how it effects COG. So I figure I would share what I did so maybe other would benefit.

I would suggest mounting the spare as low as possible, like under the cage, maybe use a body post and a pin so you can remove it. I have never tried it but I think a body post may fit threw the wheel, then drill a hole in the body and put a pin on the under side.

May have to cut the some of the cage to make it fit.

Yup, I think I'm going with my Option 2 as shown on my build. I already trimmed the cage and my spare fits snug so I won't drill a hole in the body.
