Default It finally came

My scx Rubicon kit came in via the big brown truck today. I was way to excited to take any pics of opening and building. I mirrored the trans, waterproofed the axles and trans with marine grease, and gooped up inside the servo with grease, put an o-ring over the horn, and covered the whole servo with silicone. All that's left is the electronics and paint the body.

Honcho and rubicon are both 12.3
Dingo is the shortest at 11.4
The new G6 is 12.0

After getting it all together and running, it barely turns left but turns really good right. Any ideas?

did you center the servo before putting horn on?? take the horn, turn on radio and truck turn the wheel one way, hold and let go do the same the other way, then put horn back on

This^.

If that doesn't fix it, it cloud be a combo of the above and the trim being way off. I know that happened to me with my scx a while ago.

Had to ungoop it and remove the oring cuz it was binding. Here's the obligatory poser shot

.

The camo idea didntcwork out too well. The liquid mask I used was crap and the first layer of black bled, so it's the classic black jeep now.

My daughter says I cant drive it till they get home lol

I turned it on and let it center, but I didn't turn it both ways first, so il try that. Trim is centered.

Got the servo re-gooped. Found a smaller o-ring so it's not binding anymore. Should be safe for some water sports now

Would this pinion work with the stock spur?

I built a roof rack and a few bungee cords as well as made a couple tow straps

.

No, the metric 48p is a little different, enough to chew up your spur gear.
