Default Ruh Roh Raggy, Rocks!

Decided on a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine theme for my SCX10 JK. UPS dropped it off around 7:30 and after about four hours I'm calling it a night. Cold plus arthritic wrists don't go together for building a kit :/

On to teh pickturz!11!!1!!!!1

Not looking forward to removing the roof every time I take off the body...

Yeah, it's the Titan 21T from the E-Maxx. Running with a 3S LiPo and have about stock speeds without it blowing up from crawling. At least that's how it did in my Wraith. Pretty sure I need to gear it up some to get more top end...

Nice....Did you do that because you had that motor already? You said "stock speeds" as in 27t 2s? How is the torque? And did you use an AE-2?
I may just have to try that.

Robbed the electronics from my Wraith. Stock as in 20T with the 2S. Maybe a hair slower but reliable and hardly gets warm after crawler and full speed bashing. Using an external BEC since I'm running 3S too.

you could always attach the body via velcro, in the rear. grind off the nipple of the body post and mount the heavy-duty velcro there and on the underside of the fuel cell.

that's what I'm going to do on the other JK body I got

The driveshafts are plastic. If I could do it again I'd probably get the RTR. Axial does a terrible job organizing their kits for a smooth build. Like to open a bag and have all the hardware and parts or parts trees right there for that section. Not to go on a scavenger hunt every time you turn the page.

I don't remove the roof on mine. The rear body posts through the holes in the fuel cell (without body clips) plus using body clips on the hood and rear tire carrier do a sufficient job of holding the body in place. It has worked fine using this method for me. I love the look of the top, so this allows me to keep it. I would suggest giving this a try to see how it works for you.

I'll have to give that a try.

If you find it needed, you could also extend the body mounts that go through the fuel cell to keep the mounts from slipping out of the holes (for those 10 foot sideways rolls down the hill...). I love mine, enjoy.
