Jeep J-10 Honcho body on a SCX-10??

Wondering if this body has been used on a scx??

It's not easy to search for info on this body when the scx honcho is much more popular.

Looking at using this body, but looking for info on if it has been done and if it works or not.

It is designed for trucks with a 10 inch wheel base such as the Traxxas Stampede. Even the Dingo wheel base is going to be too long for it.

oh bummer! :( i really really wanted to try and do my 1:1 J20 with the parma honcho body i just love the original paint on that , i guess you could cut the fenders just right to make it look like it has a shortened bed with stretched wheelbase

Don't let the info stop you form trying it. You can shorten a wheelbase on a SCX-10 to about 9 1/2" and still have an effective truck. Narrow the axle, or use SDI's negative 5 offset rims, and you would have a unique scale truck.

Another way to make the body work is to swap out the SCX10 chassis for a AX10 scorpion chassis. The original ads for the body show it on an AX10 Scorpion.

If you are just going for the Jeep pick up look the Pro Line Comanchee body fits nice w some trimming of the back cab area and I think looks pretty sweet. Still need to finish all the stickers on it but you get the idea.

Maybe even use that J10 body, cut off the stock fender flares, trim out the wheels wells a bit and bolt on some of the Axial Jeep Rubicon plastic fender extensions. Should helpt to get the wheel base a little longer.
