| Will we see a updated Honcho?
Finally ready to pull the trigger on a Honcho and I know they are backordered at Tower and Amain currently expected to be back in stock sometime in June. The new Deadbolt looks really nice to me from the upgrades standpoint. I like the fact the new ESC comes waterproof and can handle 3s, new servo seems promising, drive shafts, dual slipper looks good. Im keeping my fingers crossed when the Honcho comes back in stock it will be a updated version with the same electronics and upgrades. If not I will most likely get the Deadbolt and change the body. Seems to me the Honcho is about due a update but maybe that's just me what do yall think?

I doubt the Honcho is going to get an update. If anything, Axial may drop it completely.

The only Honcho I see still available is the RTR--might as well get the new Deadbolt SCX10 and buy an unpainted Honcho body, and sell off the Deadbolt body on the classifieds. I'll guarantee someone will buy it the same day it's listed.

According to Brandon from Axial the listed 12.3 inch wheelbase for the new deadbolt SCX10 is a misprint. It actually has a 12 inch wheelbase. If you want a honcho body you should also get the 12.3 inch wheelbase aluminum links. Honestly, upgrading to metal links right away is a good idea anyway as the plastic ones flex a lot. I've seen tires pointing inward on both sides of the axle due to the ridiculous flex in the steering links, and the twisting of the plastic suspension links is bad for your drivetrain. So, 300$ for the truck, 60$ for metal links, 57$ for a honcho body, a few bucks for paint and any tools needed for trimming and painting a body, and then get some cash back from selling deadbolt body.

Get a new scx10 deadbolt and put a honcho body/cage on it A guy I crawl with loves the honcho body so much he bought a few with the rpp taco stickers and builds new rollers while slapping another honcho body on them. You could say they're "sleepers" with shocks in the proper "alpha angles" /sarcasm |
