Looking good. I like what you did with the grill. What did you use to bond the material?

Really like that bumper man. Truck is coming together nicely and by the looks of the tires I think you did some running.. :) Hope the weather holds up for sunday.

I can't believe how simple that bumper looks to make. It looks awesome. I may have to borrow your setup for my G6.

You're welcome. ShoeGoo is the modern man's duct tape. Personally, I carry it with me everywhere I go. ;-)

That's exactly what I used to secure my old RTR Rubicon interior into my Cherokee body. :)

Thank you, I ran only in the house to set up the electronics, the left over mud is from previous runs. I will run rain or shine. If your up for it I know Slowgo is up for it.

Borrow away, I was thinking about it a lot, and decided simple is better.

Forecast is calling for 50% chance of rain so depending on how much we get on Saturday I may not make it. I'm not waterproofed so I'm not going to take a chance and set myself back. Other then that I'm set to go with my new links and CMS installed. "thumbsup"

I picked up a small 2s lipo for the winch today.http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/...psxzfvgxr8.jpg

Also got the ESC mounted.
http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1jiorpfy.jpg

Still need to change the leads on the winch controller, and figure out a rear body mount.

Thanks, now I just have to make a matching front bumper...

She is ready for our run tomorrow, I still have a bit of work left on her like lights/buckets, spare tire mount, front bumper, fire extinguisher/ highlift mounts, drop bed, and inner fenders. She is water resistant, as I am confident going into water up to the bottom of the chassis, just not submerging the receiver box or battery's.

Re: Weekend Warrior

I finally figured out the rear body mounts. I was sitting in my hobby room over thinking it, and I found a couple of traxxas front body mounts. Then it occurred to me make this easy... Mounted them to the bumper after a little trimming, and some drilling...

She ran very well today, climbed better than any previous truck I have had. I was able to climb some previously impossible obstacles. Winch worked great, tires worked really good(go g 8 ) temps stayed nice and cool. In other words I couldn't be happier.
A little rock rash on the fender.

Looks like a fun trail and I wish I could have made it but life sometimes gets in the way. Glad your rig worked out better then you thought.

I understand about life...
The trail is truly epic, and the further you go down it the better it gets.
There were a couple of sections that used to previously stop my rigs, even on 2.2, 5" tall tires this little guy climbed it without much drama. Slowgo caught one of them on video. Waiting on his edit...
Slow go and I will be hitting it again in two weeks, planning on every other Sunday, you are always welcome.

Re: Weekend Warrior

I tweaked the snot out of the first bumper I made....
So version two is made from 1\8" aluminum.
http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/...psbrprpkce.jpg
This is just a quick bumper until I get more aluminum.
And put a bed floor in, and you cannot see it but I made a new tire mount.

Just got home from the Er today, suffering from severe stomach pain. Diagnosis, liver inflammation, and gall stones, right now just treating symptoms, and changing diet.
