Search scx cms there are lots. Vanquish makes a good one. It's a bit pricey tho

Brehrocks 06-01-2014 07:38 PM

Does it work for dingo though?

Yes all scx10's are the same essentially

Why does the rc4wd cms kit say "not suitable for dingo"?

I wish I could know if anybody else had the vp cms installed on the dingo, I don't want to spend $100 on something that doesn't work

Re: CMS for scx10 dingo

My understanding is that since the cms kit come with an upper link to 3 link the front, it's the wrong lenght and that's why it doesn't work on the 11.3 dingos. That and where it mounts in the frame rails is further forward on the 12.3 honchos. I am running the rc4wd on my truck. I have dingo links in the rear and honcho up front so I have the proper geometry up front but I have the shorter wheel base that my chevy body needed.

Hope that helps

The actuall CMS part of the kit will work fine, axle mount, chassis mount & panhard bar. The rest of the kit is useless for you because all the links are for 12.3 WB.

VP doesn't sell just the CMS part...yet.

Another option if you have the coin to drop is buy the kit, use the CMS portion, make your own upper link, sell off the rest of the Ti links in the FS section, some one will buy them. A crazy option but an option none the less.

If you can make your own links, why not get the Blue Monkey DIY kit?
DIY CMS with Panhard, Blue Monkey RC

It's under $80 for everything but the upper link which you'd need to make yourself, but the drag link and tie rod will fit either rig.

I'm running it and love it!

So what upper link are you talking about, did you do this to a dingo?

Re: CMS for scx10 dingo

I'm running the Hand Brothers kit on my Dingo. I don't have any pictures at the moment, but it works fine. I did have to clearance a frame crossmember for the upper link, and I think my panhard might even be bent a little to clear the frame on compression, but it does work very well. I can try to take some pictures tonight if I remember.

I realize the Hand Brothers isn't available anymore, but the RC4WD one is identical as far as I know, so it should work the same.

Why does the rc4wd cms say "not suitable for dingo" if it actually is?
