| New scx10 G6 kit bearings with metal shields
Just started a new G6 built with intention of making it waterproof. Bearings that came with kit have what looks like metal/rubber shield that are rather difficult to remove without damage. If you bend them, they stay bent! Bearings on my Dingo kit had rubber shields that were easy to pop-off and reinstall. What do you do - leave bearing open and stuff them with marine grease or run as-is ungreased. I hate to have them rust out and having to do rebuild few months down the road. My Dingo kit is marine-greased throughout and is going strong 2 years and many trail miles later (100+) still on original bearings. This is driving it through creeks, rain, snow, hosing off mud, etc. Thanks |

That's what I did to my jeep but removing the rubber seal and such but really its a waste of time because I hade to replace all the bearings through out the entire truck. If it was me, I would put some fast eddy bearings in it.
