Truck looks good! BTW, damn them some big meats! I'm still running around on 1.9 Ripsaws though, tire upgrade on the agenda after the XR mod and CMS are done.

I really like the 1.9 MT Claws they just hook up great for our area. Took my old MRC springs and put them on. Hope to take it out this weekend and check out the difference.

Made a template of the upper rear 4 link bars. I am going to make 2 sets. A friend Ben wants a set. We are both going to run our deadbolts in our local G-6 in September. I am using revo rod ends with 8/32 all thread. This pic is for everyone who hasn't made there own links a good idea how it's done. It's to late to start the compressor up to start making the finished product.

Now it's time to start the rear links. I have a pilot hole adapter to center the bit i started out with a 1/4 inch bit then stepped up to a 13/64. Then i ran a tap through it a few times. Next i ran some all thread in the delrin and fiished it off with the revo rod ends. In one pic you can see the rear lowers together ready to install. Last pic shows all 4 rear links installed. Now to get cracking on the front. |

Finished up the front links. I made them 1/4 longer than stock. My wheelbase is now 12 and 1/4.

With the front pushed forward i had to do some trimming on the front. I decided to follow the body lines.

The paint is ...testors lime ice...1835. I bought it at our local hobby shop. I just took some sand paper and brought them doun to the metal and painted them. So far so good.

Not sure if I missed it earlier but is there a reason you're running the tires backwards?

| Re: Keep it simple keep it stock I tried them that way when I first got them too thinking the tread would spread instead of collapse. However, my attempt to outsmart the tire designer proved feeble since many of the other tread markings are designed for rotation in the intended manner!

In our area we crawl on is about 80% lava rock, the tires seem to act like shovels and grab every little edge better.

Did you by any chance make your upper links as to improve your pinion angle?
