it skids because of drag break its supposed to do that so u can stop on a incline and the chatter might be from the angle of the drive shaft being to steep

pics would help

have you had the drive shafts apart ?
commonly the drive shafts do not get reinstalled properly,
as there are alignment marks (arrows) on the shaft slugs
indicating the proper phasing.
An out of phase drive shaft will often shake, shudder and what you said.

could also be that something is binding at the front axle
possibly hair wrapped up in the wheel bearing/cv shaft ?
Or even that the bearings themselves are corroded or damaged.

...drag brake

^ a useful thing, for a crawler. IMO

DB is usually controlled by the ESC.

If it's the stock Axia/castle ESC
purchasing the Castle link...
allows the consumer to use their PC
to adjust the drag brake's calibrations 0-100%

The castle link will work with your HH esc and is worth the price IMO.

a drive shaft out of phase on this scale........really sounds like you have something binding up or too much drag brake or you need to reset your throttle, brake and nuetral posistions

Yes...this scale driveshaft with its joint out of phase will certainly cause binding and jumping...seen it many times...really gets noticable as the driveshaft angle increases...

Saw this the other day with mine, It was the Driveshaft grub screws were loose. But I also have the old style with no through holes on the pinion/yoke. Just added some locktight and retightened.

Yeah that's just drag brake there as it was mentioned before. Just align all of the driveshaft pins to were they are all aligned including the front axle all the way to the rear axle. The manual says something about this so as long as you do that then it will stop doing that. Trust me, when I got my first sc10 I was wondering the same damn thing but now I have three different scx10's so I know what I'm talking about lol.

Adjusting settings on the ESC can also be done without a castle link adapter.
Some people don't like to spend $20 on something they only need once, others have a real computer while the castle software only works on Windows.
