| scx10 hilux cab w/o bed?
Hi, i've been thinking of building an scx10 hilux with just the cab and no bed or truggy. But I can't find any good pictures of them, so I thought I would ask here. any pics or links would be much appreciated, thank you for your time .

take a look at how the mounts work for the TF2 or on the Tamiya Hilux/Bruiser it secures the cab using the holes located near the bottom of the doors. and then is screwed thru into a support/backing plate behind the doors. you would likely need make your own for a proper fit but the principal would be similar to how the Hilux/Mojave bodies mounts to either the Tamiya Hilux/Bruiser or TF2 chassis. look at this link... ^ could be of some help but ignore the rear cage assembly and take notice of the home built door body mounts. another with more details the hood could be supported by making a plate that spans the CO mounts and utilizes velcro like... Velcro could also be utilized at the lower doors if one didn't wish to hassle with inserting screws to secure. here's another link with a picture that shows the body mounts at the rear of the cab... not at the doors. But lacks detail on how it was done. regardless of which way you mount the cab... it is likely you will need to fabricate mounts that secure to the chassis.
