| Resurrecting the Dingo
Helloeveryone, I am a newb to RC and crawling.I have a slash 4x4 now to go fast. But I started seeing videos of SCX10s and got hooked. I then decided I need something for a project. So here it is.Picked up a cheap SCX10 Dingo roller with some Dingo and Jeep parts.I am thinking of resurrecting the Dingo with new or upgraded parts into a good shape. It came with a Savox SW-0231 MG servo and front and rear custom bumpers In the process of disassembling everything, I noticed some bad stuff from the previous owner. Everything else seemed to be in good shape -- Tranny was mounted with some big countersink screws and not at the proper mount location.. so that needs to be rectified -- The Y rear links were not put on -- Screws not proper (long screws for short and short for long) -- Tires not mounted properly Last edited by velociraptor82; 10-04-2014 at 09:07 AM. Good work bro. I have bought several used scx10s and always a complete tear down was necessary, to see all the wear, tear, and abuse of the previous owner. |

Checked all rear axle bearings they all seem to be gummed up and really bad. One of them has even seized. Planning to clean them and see Last edited by velociraptor82; 10-04-2014 at 02:24 PM. |
