| Wroncho skid question
I've been looking through the wroncho threads and i was wondering why the wraith skid plate not used , All the threads i looked at use the scx . Could someone either tell me or point me in the right direction , Thanks |

My guess is because when you use the wraith skid you have to make your own cross members

| Re: Wroncho skid question No you don't, the rails and stock cross members can be used with the wraith skid, you just need to bend them at either end, or do what I did and widen the rear to get a more scale look. I'm using scx10 width wraith axles on this, centered rear and off set front.

@ greenjk I'm just wondering, why did you choose the wraith skid for your build? I see some potential problems with the extra width and it's certainly a lot more work then using an SCX skid but what's the upside? Does it have better geometry maybe? Is there a particular look that you're trying to hit or a mechanical reason? From those pictures I can't really tell what's going on with your shock mounts so maybe that's it. I'm really just curious about your build. It's different which is always cool and sometimes reason enough to do something! Sorry about the thread jack!

| Re: Wroncho skid question Sure mate here you go, for thelower link mounts I was going to use some trex60 ? mounts but I'm broke so I just re drilled the tubes and used the stockers. Quote:

I'm was thinking of building a center rear, but didn't want to cut up two housings.

| Re: Wroncho skid question What width do you want, this is scx10 width and uses 2 short side wraith axles and one wraith housing, I sleaved it with stock plastic tailshaft and it seems OK altho I haven't ran it yet.

I already built my OCP front and rear housings and sleeved them with the wb8 shafts , They seem plenty strong enough.

So how hard would it be to use the wraith skid than pull the frame rails together in the front an rear. Does that mess up the shock mounts at all.

| Re: Wroncho skid question I did have it this way at first then decided to keep the rear in line with the width of the skid, the front is pulled in and uses the stock cross members, bumper mount and I did have the shock towers on until I decided to run separate shocks/spring's. What width are your axles.

Looks good, I did they centered rear to keep it like my 1:1, it was actually easier than the front.
