Default Need drive shaft help

I installed a dig kit on my scx10 dingo yesterday and put it in so it connects to my front axle not the read as is intended. I wanted realism of a stock 4x4 so I can now select rear wheel drive or 4wheel drive. Its working perfectly except my front drive shaft is a bit steep now and binding slightly. What are my options to help eliminate this? Thanks!

Well you have 3 options that I know of. You can get new drive shafts with a higher angle that they can run at. Or you can stretch the wheel base some. Or try to move the skid towards the back of your rig

A picture from the side would help, you can also lengthen your upper links and clock the axle forward. This is not a cheap route though, as clockable c hubs and cms are recommended.

MIP makes a short CVD for dig units. The dingo being short and the fact that you have the dig in the front means you may have to shorten the female end a bit. MIP Spline CVD™ DIG Kit, Rear, Axial AX10 (1) #09137

Stretching the front wheelbase is going to be your best option. It will reduce the shaft angle and give you a better approach. I think the dingo front links are about 1/4" or 7mm shorter than say a honcho. Other option is to do the xr10 steering mod and that will allow you to clock the pinion towards the trans output and adjust the steering back but still won't help the angle at the trans.

Excuse the ignorance - how would one stretch the wheel base? Just install slightly longer links?
