Default A'nudder China JK build

Well after admiring the China made 2dr JK body for a while now, I decided to shorten the WB of a Rubicon roller I had saved for another project. This build will be rather slow but I have some of the components needed to start. Ill be using the GCM front motor mount kit and the gear head rear shock relocation kit. I have an idea on how to mount this shell, but if you know or have seen some rather trick ways of doing it, I'd like to know about it.

Drivetrain and electronics will consist of a HH torque master pro 27T, Hot Racing steel gears, Hot Racing alloy trans. case and Junfac shafts. ESC will likely be a CC sidewinder-SCT.

Lovely star bro ! I see you are getting that Jeep right from the jump! Plus the wheels and tires keeps you close to scale with your reference pics ! Subbing and watching intently!

Thanks my friend! Ever since I've laid eyes on one of these bodies I've been wanting to build around one! It's turned into my primary build now lol! Looking forward to trying these MTZ's!

A few shots of the drive line issue I'm having. Looks like I'll have to cut some of the floor pan and fire wall away to clear for the third shaft.

Actually, yeah, you know what?!?!??! Those stock rims being so correct for the truck ... that makes it POP for me.

VERY big points for scale, imho. (and i'm in no way a "scale guy" - i'm all about the crawl)

Not yet, I have a mock shaft, but I think I'm going to wait until the last second until I install the one I ordered before I start cutting. I have most of the interior and dash out to start marking.

Not much news on the drive train issues, the new shaft will be here Saturday, meanwhile I'm toying with different internal spring rates for the rear RC4WD dampers.

So surprisingly my third shaft showed up today and I got right to work on finding out how much I had to trim for clearance. Luckily the majority of the space that needed to be removed was under the center console and behind the dash out of view. However I did need to notch a small hole that can still be seen from the passengers side interior. Thankfully it's small enough that I can either cover it with black styrene or place the female passengers hand bag in front of it next to her ankles.

Obviously if I had gone with more ride height, I probably wouldn't have had to trim anything, but I'm trying like hell to keep this JK as close to factory looking as possible, so I didn't want to lift it any higher than what it is now. Plus, with this being such a short WB rig, I can see this being slightly top heavy.
