Default New Guy With Recent Build

Hi Everyone,
New guy here. I just wanted to share my SCX!) build. Started out with a SCX10 Jeep Rubicon. Used the STRC short chassis conversion and a Tamiya FJ40 Landcruiser Body. Im still not completely done but here are some pics of my progress.

I got impatient so I took her for spin . The top is painted a raw Aluminum color. It gives it an airplane panel type look. I kinda dig it. I didn't like the yellow at first but my 3yo picked it out and she's the boss around here, lol photo IMG_4934.jpg
Not all of the decals were on yet lol... I may just paint them on eventually.

STRC Steering Upgrade installed. I also smoked the lenses that came with the Tamiya body to give it a meaner look. Hard to tell in the pic, I'll upload better ones.

New Pitbull Growlers mounted. These tires are taller so I had to raise the suspension for clearance and cut the rear fender flares off.

Better pic of smoked headlight lenses, pictures do not do it justice. Lenses look better in person.

PS - I know the grill is upside down... haha... but can you really tell the difference? lol

New upgrades/parts...

I added lights, new RC4WD Bumper and RC4wd Wheels. These wheels were such a PITA to mount tires on. I tried many different ways to mount them and the bead would just slip when you tighten them up. Very, Very frustrating to mount but in the end I really like the look of them.

Didn't notice the grill but did notice you have three of your four tires pointed in the wrong direction. Swap the two front tires/wheels and turn the left rear around on the rim. Or turn the right rear tire around on the rim and have them all pointed backwards.

Probably not, most of our tires (crawler, short course, stadium truck, etc.) are unidirectional anyway. Might make a difference if you're pulling through or clearing out a mud-hole, but if they're a hassle to mount/dismount I probably wouldn't worry about it.

Yea, I didn't realize it until I was out running it on the trail, oh well.
