| DIY Floor Pan
I want to make my scx10 more scale by adding a floor pan. Since Proline has discontinued theirs for some reason, I just want to see if I could make my own. I know people have done it before, but I wouldn't know where to start. Any suggestions?

It's just a catch pan for all the rocks, dirt, mud and snow. I purchased two that I chose not to install and sold them off losing money in the process. Who needs a dirt collection shelf on their RC ? Instead... make some wheel wells out of some plastic containers and mount those on the shock towers. It will offer you a more finished/scale look... costs pennies to do and your rig will be easier to keep clean. ^ IMO there are better things to waste your money on |

I made wheel wells out of some plastic containers, and then mounted them up and made my own floor pan out of some gorilla tape (like duct tape, but more heavy duty). It works well and keeps everything out of the insides. |

Wow guys this has helped a lot. I think I'm going to make some plastic wheel wells! Maybe connect them with gorilla tape too!

here's several pics of my undercarriage, fender wells, etc... ^ the combination of my fender wells and battery plates help keep the kick up to a minimum. yeah, that's a radiator !? Lol Willy feels his cabin interior is superior to an under tray ^ the cab's interior helps fill the void... meaning: less room for carry home dirt, rocks, mud or snow yep... was bored |

Wow that's looking great! What did you use for the wheel wells?

think they were pliable deli containers cut in half. But you can utilize a vast array of options for these. Including tupperware/plastic food storage containers. I used sour cream containers once before. Tho' rough/sand/clean the surface prior to painting... or the paint may not stick very well. I advice using a flexible paint on the wheel wells. I used plastic dip on my latest set... and they have held up extremely well IMO |
