| Rock Armor slayer bumper question
Hello, I am running a rock armor slayer bumper on my Honcho. I put some 1.9 super swamper xl's on and now my tires hit the corner's of the bumper at full articulation, while turning. Should I cut the bumper, really don't want to, are lengthen the bumper out alittle with spacers if that is possible are a lame idea. If I have to cut it what would be the right cutting wheel for my dremel? Thanks |

Can you adjust your ride hight a small amount to help offset the rubbing. Or use wheel spacers. You could drill a few holes to space you bumper back.

| Re: Rock Armor slayer bumper question Yes, I know lol. I would cut the ends off with bandsaw, coping saw or hacksaw...measure twice and cut once. Then use Dremel sanding wheel to smooth and contour. Or sell it and buy steel (slides over rock better) that is more like the Jeep G6 bumper and tucks in tight to body. You can see how cut up mine is in my Honcho thread, but it clears 1.9 Trepadors with lots of steering throw even at full suspension compresssion. Note how far back it is in the front cross-member too. Last edited by Natedog; 06-16-2015 at 06:28 PM. |

If it's possible, get new links to shorten the wheelbase a touch. I use 10-24 threaded rod and revo ends drilled out to 11/64.

Just cut it on a chop saw with a decent blade, it's aluminum. Just cut slow, that how I cut mine. No need for sanding. Last edited by Norton; 06-17-2015 at 12:12 AM. |

Bumper had to go, the contour was all wrong, use my bumper intended for my G6, looks great to me. Have to reorder another for my G6, bumbed on that.
