| Are metal upper links needed?
Thinking about getting the ssd titanium links but they only make the lowers, are the uppers needed? Do they actually make a difference? I know the kits only com with lowers as well.

Four link set-up over three link is more preferable. Metal will stop the axle trying to clock backward in some instance where the uppers can bend though.

Like Wiz said, the uppers will bend if you get in a bind. When they bend, the axle housing will rotate. You ask if metal uppers are needed, and the answer is really up to you. If you're alright with a bit of play, then you can keep the plastic. I have one SCX with plastic uppers in the front and metal in the back. It's all depends on what you feel you need. |
