Default Servo on chassis.

Servo on chassis fits well,? how affected performance on my scx10, turn radio and articulation?

I believe this is generally done for its scale appearance/realism and does not offer any performance improvement, if not reduces it by a small margin.

CMS = chassis mounted servo.

There's many options and choices as far as chassis mounting.
So do a little homework before you jump in head first.

there's tons of information here if you search a little.

Yes it will reduce articulation to some extent...
But most have little concern for that difference.

Doubt it would alter steering much...
tho' some bump steer could occur if installed incorrectly.
But setting up the CMS correctly should minimize that issue.

The intent or purpose of the CMS...
is to more replicate a scale look.
No other advantage then that.

your call

just be sure you do it right
because doing it wrong will make it worse.

It's just an appearance modification, there are zero performance gains and you can/will limit your lift and articulation. Should not effect your turn radius.

I get the same articulation with the Hand Bros kit as I do with the stock stuff. Full stroke of the shocks. Hand Bros is now sold as the RC4WD kit.

Same here, I had the rc4wd CMS on many of my scx10 rigs...worked great and kept the servo higher up and away from water....

doubt I'd rely on that for keeping it dry.

I use the VP kit on mine with zero issues and I also have full articulation.
