| Fat Trucks?
Just wondering what exactly people are doing in cases where their trucks weight 7lbs or more. I weighed my truck the other day and it came in a little shy of 5lbs. Adding some tire weight and a bigger battery would certainly fatten things up a little, but I'm curious as to how weight doubles. I'm not looking to make my rig any heavier, btw. Buttloads of scale accessories? Too many triple bacon cheeseburgers? |

Buttloads! I'm in! Metal crap, be it tube bumpers or sliders or boatsides or all of em. Stupid huge batteries. Full size spares on expensive heavy aluminum wheels. Dolls in the seats. Hardbodies. Buttloads of crap for scale points. Heavy trans gears. Heavy brushless crap. I'm forgetting something... Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger, one Pepsi. The part at 3:25 is so damn funny. Classic. Last edited by EeePee; 07-09-2015 at 04:04 PM. |

I like my rigs to be a bit porky. They stay planted and the suspension cycles awesome!

Mine is probaly 7 or so pounds without battery. My mostly stock ascender has to be above 5lbs with batteries.

I've got 18lbs of lead flashing. Maybe I'll line the shell with it!

Mist of mine are in the 5-8lb range. I keep a mostly stock "lightweight" rig that's set up for performance, but I generally prefer a heavier rig for funtime and trail runs. Performs a little more realistically in my book....plus, I love the solid thunk of metal on rocks.. |
