List of things still to do/buy:

I will try and keep the thread updated as I progress with the build. The body is currently in pieces as Im finally getting around to painting it so I have been busy filling holes and sanding the filler. Hope to get it painted this weekend. Here is what the truck looks like now. The other day I built a tool box to hold my sand ladders, tow rope, and my R2J Kustoms Pullpal and other accessories. After I painted it I put stickers all over it to rep the companies who's products I have/will have on the truck.

Hear head makes a great shock relocation kit that works awesome for these bodies.

^ GearHead.

I personally think this shock mount design leaves a bunch to be desired.
Rather sucks on a 1:1 as well.

My son fab'd up his own... but didn't like it at all.
The chassis tended to roll over too easily when off angle,
as it would articulate excessively out back.

I think a cantilever design works better then the GearHead / \ mounting.
But my son chose not to go that route even tho' we had it on hand.
So we made our own upper mounts instead.

Higher rate C springs were required out back to compensate
for the the CO's forward canted (progressive) angle.
But in our opinion...
our method works 100% better then the GearHead design.

here's what we did to my son's SCX-10/Mojave...
~ no additional holes were drilled nor any other permanent altercations ~

suggested to my son that we add an additional bed mount farther rearward
but he says it hasn't been an issue and he has ignored my suggestion.

btw... those are 100mm CO's

OK so i completely forgot about this thread alot has changed in this truck it still has yet to be painted and i just ordered new electronics for it as I took the electronics from this and threw them in my FJ Cruiser build. The new electronics will be a CC MMP, Novak Ballistic Crawler 18.5T, CC BEC, and a Hitec 5645MG servo. Will do a full update when the new stuff arrives in the next few days.

Been awhile since I updated this thread. But it now has 1.9 VP Methods and I did the narrow XR mod and I'm thinking about getting some RB XLs for it instead and I'm going to either buy a bed that has already been bobbed or just bob this one haven't decided yet but I need to do something to fix the rear as the bed is stopping me from pulling some lines I know the rig can pull and I finally got around to painting the body as well, went with satin white
