Default rdearolfs 1 ton Cherokee build.

I've been wanting to build a scale 1 ton Cherokee to represent my old jeep and now I'm finally doing it. No shelf queen here, she is gonna be a rock beater.

Scx10 chassis, made links to 4 link the back and 3 linked the front.

Made sure to have the front axle setup for driver side drop. I have a centered rear axle on order. I also have a vp cms with Panhard mount on order.

Ride height will be slightly higher as I will be having Warren build me a set of trusses with Panhard mount that also has shock tabs to mount shocks on top of axle. I haven't made up my mind on shocks yet.

Looks good. I'm going for a lcg setup with mostly droop suspension.

Looks good so far, I just finished a Cherokee build too but on scx10 axles

Idk if it's just me but the treps on wide and bigger wheels looks pretty cool,
These are on gearhead 5 star 2.2 wheels

I Agree. I had some 1.9 treps and trail ready 2.2 laying around so I tried it. What a pita but I think it looks cool. It's gonna end up getting some locked up goodies though

Very nice that colour looks good!
You plan on cutting the bumpers off the body?

I had a tough time deciding wether or not to because once there all cut off there's not very much body left lol.
And painting the window trim is a huge pain.

And I may go pick up some 2.2 trailready rims just to have spare stretched trepadors ha! Love the look!

I do plan on trimming the bumpers off. I'm going to be building some bumpers and trail armor for the body. Trying to get the chassis done first then will start on the other things. Thanks for the feedback

I started building some rock rails. I still need to tie in a few braces to connect the two.

I was able to get some more work done tonight. Front end is done other then some steering adjustments. Shocks mount on top of axle with new truss.
