Default Question: Mounting an RC4WD winch to Rock Armor G6 Front bumper

The bumper appears to use smaller hardware than the winch mount plate. Don't have the winch in hand yet but the website made it appear to mount with M3. Do you just pick your holes and drill them out? It almost looks like M2 barrel heads are supposed to go through the bottom based upon the holes supplied in the bumper.

The Warn uses the middle 4 hole pattern. You use the stock hardware that is used to mount the winch plate to the winch (goes up though the bottom). The winch mount plate is not used.

Thanks. So then that hardware is M2? Because nothing larger than that is going through those holes!

Yes it is M2. That hardware for mounting comes with the winch when you buy it

the G6 bumper and all the newer RRA bumpers are drilled directly for the Warn. Piece of cake and much easier to mount than the old 3Racing winch in the vid linked too

I have this bumper and had the same issue. The hardware that came w/ the RC4WD winch didn't work. Drilling the hole out to fit an M3 doesnt work because it still isn't big enough for the cap head on the screw to sit down flush in the bumper. I had to first remove the mounting plate then buy M2 X 6 screws and then it mount it direct to the bumper with those.

Just to confirm...it's just as Florida crawler said.

Remove fairlead and mounting plate.

Secure into bumper with 4 M2x6 barrel head screws.

The screws I had for the beadlocks were M2x10 so I just cut them off and cleaned up the ends with a dremel.
