| I'll Take My Pumpkin "Supersized" Please!
Hello all! Just wanted to share a build I have started. I always have liked the '55 - '56 Ford F100, but could bring myself to a "clear" option or chopping ?stretching a 1/12 scale Tamiya Pumpkin. So I tried my hand at building a "supersized" version. Tamiya's body is I believe 12"L bumper to bumper, and 6.75 wide at the fenders with a 8.25" wb. This turned out 15" L, 7.75" wide at the fenders and has a 11" wb. Anyway it's on a SCX10 chassis. Has HH 13t Crawlmaster Expert, Castle SWIII ESC and a few other goodies. Just swaped to 1.55's due to the 1.9's just being to tall. I won't bore everyone with the entire build thread, it's in the 1.9 section if you want to see how I started it. Here are a few pic's. And fresh out of the paint booth..... |

Years ago I restored a 54 Ford 3/4 t to pull my restored 56 Chippewa Travel Trailer they were a campground celebrity everywhere they went. I heard many stories from friendly campers about mid century Ford pickups it was a great ice breaker. Its a classic truck no question and you've done a great job recreating it in scale. I love the color it was defiantly one of the most popular colors of the fifties. Keep up the great work. |

Love the turquoise color! I had restored a '72 Blazer w/ a '68 front clip and painted it a Ferd turquoise color. Chevy a similar color in their lineup, but it just didn't pop the way that the ferd version did.

OK all, no laughing, I got this wild idea to cover the seat with leather. Now I am not a seamstress, and I can't sew for crap so it is what it is! A little laughing is OK I guess. Got the door panels, floor and that seat complete. Added a simple rear bumper, think I am leaving the front roll pan as is, do like the idea of a bumper yet. Just about ready for a test drive, except its pouring here at the moment. A few details left, tackle those tomorrow. Panels and tiny handles.... Starting the bench seat... Getting close to drive time! |

Little Pumpkin update.... Well almost done. Few little details....added exhaust, side view mirrors, door handles and locks and first attempt at wipers. Next ones will be better. Wired the lighting, and test drove it today, need to adjust the front body mount, just a little to low. Little bits.... Mirror and mount..... Wipers.... Outside Time! Lights action....you know the rest...... Exhaust..... Flex stuff.... |

Finally had some time to get it out for a real test drive. Captured a little video of it, no professional video work, but at least it performed well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws2Y...ature=youtu.be |
