Correct.

All is it a more scale looking axle housing. You swap all your axle drivetrain and steering components over to new axle housing.

Just trying to figure out if it's something worth changing out.

Thanks! Would I need to change anything with the steering linkage?

I got my set, and it's worth it if you would like a more scale axle and not wanting to spend a lot of money.

It's not just for better scale looks fellas. These SSD housings are designed and manufactured better in every way. Thicker wall tubes with more durable material. Easier access to the the diffs. Smaller outer proportions for more clearance everywhere, and yes, they look a thousand times better than the stock axles. These are an upgrade in performance as much as looks.

Don't forget to order the SSD servo plate if you want to mount your servo on the axle like stock.

The tubes are way better than stock and they look way better than any other plastic SCX housing that I know of. I don't regret spending $55 on mine at all.

a just bought a set at LHS and noticed after I got home that they don't work with the 3 link set up. You will have to change over to the 4 link set up.

Sir they will most defiantly work with the 3 link. They might not bolt right up to your current or attempted set up. With this hobby most anything is possible. A 3 link requires proper link placement etc. You can't say that the housing will not work with 3 link. The statement is ridiculous

I had to edit my reply because my new lipo wont work....... The damn thing has a traxxas connector and my esc has deans??? What to do now...

I was talking about the stock axial 3 link mount that comes with most SCX10 kits. yes you can make a 3 link setup work with added work but as for using the axial stock plastic 3 link parts they wont bolt right on to the axles without mods being done to make them work. seems like the author who asked the question was looking for direct fit parts without mods being made to part. if you have done a 3 link using the stock axial parts please post up some pics to help everyone along

also if you need help with that connector let me know I can solder you up some new connectors of your choice better yet let me take an extra 15 minutes to show you how to solder up your own connectors
