Depending on how much you plan on going, new links and possibly longer driveshafts should be all you need. I always recommend supporting your lhs, but if not Rpp is amazing. |

You could use 3mm ID X 6mm OD spacers up to 1/4" (6mm) L But much longer might spell trouble for the threading (grab) of the grub screw(s) securing the ball ends. Tho' ya could go with longer 3mm grub screws if ya wanted. The link spacers are available on ebay and most everywhere and in various lengths. On the cheap... and to extend my Wraith's front links slightly... I used some SS nuts I found at my local hardware store... drilled those out to eliminate the thread... and utilize those as spacers. Possibly you could find the right nut with the appropriate 3mm OD thread/pitch... But I personally didn't find the correct pitch for my needs and drilling them out to fit was simple. But if extending links another 1/2" I'd suggest starting with longer link rods. Or you could get the appropriate threaded spacer link (T-post) and thread those together utilizing additional threaded inserts. Again... ebay stuff. Also you will need take into account of what ball ends are utilized... some vary in shaft length and can increase the over-all link lengths. For 3mm threaded insertion... I use Traxxas # TRA1942 ball ends for my 1/10th scale scx-10. These have slightly longer shanks then the original Axial ball ends. But they also have steel ball inserts instead of plastic balls. For 4mm threaded inserts... I use the Revo ball ends ( TRA5347 ) But I use these on my larger scale rig, utilizing custom link rods. ( ^ my 6th scale Wraith ) Good luck with your altercations The only limits to this hobby... is yourself !? Lol |

I'm a fan of traxxas revo suspension pushrods. They are available in several different lengths and either steel or red anodized aluminum. Plus they have 4mm ends rather than the stock 3mm junk.
