So I have a strange question. I have some pro line scaler shocks on my deadbolt. I didn't have any lower weight oil laying around so I had to order some 35wt from Rpp. While I was waiting I decided to throw the shocks on the truck and take it for a ride anyway. I honestly cant tell much of a difference. I have a Holmes Hobbies 2200 kv Puller in my truck so top speed is just over walking speed. Does anyone run their shocks "dry"? I cant see it being much of an issues if speed really isn't a factor.

I've run many of shock setups without a full shock body full of fluid. Just know that the spring will be doing all of the compression and there will be no control over rebound. If I do run that setup, I put a few drops of oil of some kind in the shock body just to keep the piston action smooth. |
