Which Ci foams are you guys running on your bfg krawlers? My scx is light too. What size and outer foam stiffness?

I'd be interested in knowing what others are running as well. The stock foams with the krawlers on the RTR kits seem a bit too soft.

Here is a thread I made about the same problem. Axial BFG Krawler foams way too soft, help me understand foams I went with 4.5" medium lil novas. On my stock honcho the medium foams are a little stiff. Soft probably would have been a better choice. Last edited by jeff22; 12-19-2015 at 05:53 AM. |

I have lil nova inside my axial bfg's in firm outer under my gmade jeep. But its a heVier truck and i like a really firm tire for when i mud, i hate when tires are all flat looking. Don't gripe for nothing that way

Im running Dual stage 4.50 w med outer and Dw madbeast in rear. My rig weighs @8lbs rtr. This foam combo is beginning to be my go to setup. I tried the soft outer up front and found it still compressed/rolled a bit much for my liking. |

I used the CI 3005 foams for swampers in my 1.9 BFG Krawlers, and with Axial beadlocks they mount up fine, but when I tried to make a second set for my younger son's G6 using the RC4WD Raceline wheels, the foams proved to be a little too wide. In terms of performance, I love them on my Rubicon because they grip so well for trail driving and scale four wheeling.
