Default Extending the rail ends on SCX-10

With a new Cherokee body on my SCX-10 I now have a back end that extends far beyond the rails and I'm looking for a kit or weld-less type mod to extend the chassis rails further by about 1.5 inches so I can cut out the lexan bumper and replace it with something stronger mounted to the chassis. At the moment, the body is scraping going into and out of a climb. Thanks!

What bumper are you looking at getting?
The bumper will mount to the chassis so you shouldn't need to extend the rails (as long as the bumper mounts are long enough, I've never run that body)

Just extend your bumper mounts bud. That's all you need to do.

I picked up some 1/8"x1/2" aluminum bar at Lowes, cut it to the length needed and bolted it under the shock hoops.

Mounting area looks pretty long. This might be a good option. Thanks

I was originally thinking about having to create metal extensions bolted to the frame.
