Scx10 axle hex nut grub screw

Ok so i bought my scx10 power wagon 2 days ago. And im new to the rc scene. Preeetty pumped. Ran it in the house a bit and decided to strip it down and waterproof it before i even went outside, plus this will give me the chance to check everythings tight and right.
Found on the rear axle that the grub screws on the hex nut at the axle ends are stripped. I havent touched them yet especially because my 1.5mm hexhead screwdriver is still on order. Needless to say the truck is back together but that really bugged me. It looks like there might be enough there for a 1.5mm to grab but i dont think it will work because these have thread lock on them dont they?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Just want to get some marine grease in there so i can feel better about playing in water.... and snow. Since im in southern ontario and i have lots of snow lol.
Side note.... i noticed there is hardly any grease in the axle at all..... odd?

None of my grub screws have locktight, put a 1.5 in there and crank it out. The only grease they put in the axle is on the ring and pinion gears, you should be ok with that unless your going to dunk it under water.
