| 12.3 Wheelbase Aluminum links needed
I cannot use the stock links on my Axial SCX10 Trail Honcho. The axle is being "tweaked" everytime I run it and I want to buy aluminum links for a decent price. So far I have looked at the Hot Racing Aluminum 4Link Set 12.3" Axial SCX10 link set. I want to know if these links are any good, or If anyone has any other suggestions it would be well apreciated. - CrawlerColby Last edited by CrawlerColby; 03-18-2016 at 10:30 AM. |

The HR links are the ones I used in my Honcho and have not had a bit of problems with them

I have R2J links on several of my rigs and really like them. The SS links don't gouge and hang up on the rocks like aluminum. Also R2J is a great vendor. No issues buying parts from him. |

Don't know what HR wants for their links. This is a decent low cost set, put these on my daughters Rubicon a few months back. They seem to works as well as the VP links I run on my Honcho. Her Rubicon can follow my Honcho through anything including rocks with no noticeable difference. So far any gouging to the aluminum links has been minor scratching, not much worse than the Ti Vanquish links show. As mentioned above. There are several vendors producing links and I'm sure they do a good job at it. I would go with R2J and his years of experience building quality links and other parts to fuel our addiction. |

I simply run the Axial replacement set, which includes the parts for the steering linkage at a good price. Quite happy with them.

I found this aluminum tubing. 1/4"od x 1/8"id Aluminum Extruded Round Tubes Real easy to cut to length and tap with 4mm and use revo rod ends. I found some 4mm x 16mm set screws on ebay pretty cheap for a bag of like 50pcs. They work great, and pretty cheap. Last edited by Poprivet; 03-22-2016 at 10:19 AM. |

I have the motto of buy once cry once... when you buy cheap things, expect to replace them frequently. Lot's of quality vendors on this site. R2J has posted links to VERY fairly priced link sets. I always suggest supporting the local boys whenever possible. |
