Default 1.9 Nukizer just needs some paint

All I have left is the paint. I haven't painted an RC body in over 20 yrs. I've always bought used rigs that were to my liking as they were. I'm nervous about messing it up!!!

Don't be afraid of the painting, you've already got nicely trimmed and as far as I'm concerned that's the hard part. Just take your time, mask it well and use good quality tape..

A little tip I just learned is to tape off your windows, then lightly , and I mean LIGHTLY scuff the paint surface with a scubby sponge or something.. Just a little to help the paint stick, But not enough to scuff..

Just buy the softest scotchbrite pad and rub it around inside after taping off the windows. Then whipe it down and clean it out. Then paint away. Looks good without that horrible fenders.

Couple of tips I've picked up from my reading here: don't use Tamiya paint, do paint on a warm dry day.

Clean it good with dish soap. Nothing worse than having a few spots come through. If they come though on the color they'll come through with the base.

I've used Tamiya paints with no issues, just make sure you're using the PS paints, they're for Polycarbonate/lexan. Wash the inside of the body with a mild detergent, and make sure it's dry before you apply the paint
