I've had both and currently have the rrd's. First off, they're basically the same shock, just look different for the licensed names. Second, neither are that great performance wise. Some stand by rc4wd while others don't, just like any other brand. I personally don't care either way as I own quite a few things from them. As far as looks go, well that's your preference as that's what these shocks are meant for, looks. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they're the worst shocks I've ever used, but nowhere near the best.

Both are scale shocks. not all that tunable but work fine for trailing or crawling. Racing though, look elsewhere (Traxxas big bores, Gmade XDs, Pro line power strokes, etc)
