Still some variables. Is it a hard body or lexan? I've got a set of 2.2's on a 14.5 pound, 1/6 Hasbro G.I. Joe Jeep, and they work great. On my 8 lb lexan bodied wroncho they bounce a lot.

Are your wheels vented? On both trucks, they are unvented, which on the lighter body, explains the bounce. For your creek driving, maybe an unvented wheel would float, don't really know.
