| Pumpkin skid?
I seen a post here? I think where someone made some pumpkin skids out of an aerosol can. They glued the strip to the axle using E600. Can someone post a link or pic up of that mod? I have a freind who is a machinist that might be able to make something that doesnt need to be glued and I wanted to show him the idea.

Just a bit of advice, you may not want these. SCX10 axles perform better and better the more wear they have. Plastic also slides over the rocks a lot easier than any metal will.

Here's my steel scuff rings for the factory SCX-10 axles... Steel slides great and protects the vulnerable plastic center chunk from premature grind wear. The center chunk's plastic is thin and wears thru before the axle's tubes. ^ (especially if ya roll on the rocks alot) Using aluminum would be a poor choice and does not slide as easily as steel does. No more hang up then would the center chunk plastic if left unprotected. And using E6000 to adhere them has always held them securely for me. Only drawback... gotta pry the steel grind rings off if separating the two axle halves. No biggie if done carefully, as they can be re-glued on. Or in my case... just cut some new ones from the can and re-apply. For my particular case my axles have "BeefTubes" internally and so each plastic axle housing (ends) needs be altered in order to insert the "BeefTubes" So doing this prolongs the axle housings consumable life 5X or more. What occurrs without adding center chunk grind protection... Axial Honcho Axle Scuff Plates by DellTaco00 | Photobucket Last edited by TacoCrawler; 08-05-2016 at 03:37 PM. |

Hello all! I am the machinist friend Twisted was talking about. This is my official first post. I am working with Twisted on this project. Pictures to follow as soon as I get the parts in the mail to Twisted.
