Default Need links for 08 Proline F250 Body

I want to put a Proline 08 F250 body on my scx10. the problem is i don't know what size links to buy. The wheelbase is 12.8. Can anyone help me out with the length of the links?

The 12.3 (Stock for most SCX10s) links work pretty well thats what i use on mine.

Or make your own out of rod ends, all thread, and brake line.

sorry i forgot to mention that it is a crew cab with the bed still on it. the stock links from my g6 arnt long enough. the wheelbase on mine is 12 right now.

id like to make my own but havnt had the time lately. Id like to be able to just throw them on real quick and go thrash it around when i get some down time

Find some threaded rod links that'll make it the needed 12.8".

I use stainless rod from Lowes and RPM's Traxxas size rod ends. Measure what you need and take away the distance from the eye to where the rod will end and cut it. Chuck the rod in a cordless drill and cut some m4 or m5 threads...or SAE equivalent...then screw the ends on. m5 threads will be tight enough to bulge them unless you tap the ends the same.

Here's an example of a set on the back of my Budget Bomber.

I did the same body on a scx10 frame and used ar60 axles. I set the body up to use Wraith length links up front and made extended links for the rear. Much like a full size.

Best profile pic I have.

Do you have the measurements for them?

Not anymore. They were used on multiple other things.

Just mount the body with the front wheels centered and then worry about the rear. It was a lot easier than having even links both F/R.

isnt it better to have both front and rear links the same or close to it?
