| Really lousy front bumper
Just a heads up. This bumper was brand new and I ran it for the first time today. No extreme falls, but I looked down and saw that the stinger was bent back. Upon further examination I noticed that the welds had broken. Beware of this bumper. Tough Armor Competition Stinger Bumper to fit Axial SCX10 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I run this exact bumper on my 6x6. I completely demolish the rig. No breaks yet. I also got it used. I hope this is an isolated incident and rc4wd makes it right. Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk |

I was told that these mass produced items are machine welded and that the welds can be weaker than hand welding. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

So instead of buying a new one, couldn't it just be re-welded, painted, viola fixola! Just my .02

I also run this bumper. No problems so far and I've hit it pretty hard. Re-doing the welds seems like a good idea. A Tig welder would work ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have the stubby version of that bumper and it held up to some vicious tumbles. The stubby hoop may also put less strain on the welds during impact though. Either way, I am not terribly impressed with the quality of the RC4WD bumper construction (specifically the soft mounting arms). They are fine if you are after a certain scale look but for that generic hardcore offroad look, other companies definitely make better products. The couple RC4WD front bumpers I used have since been replaced with Scalerfab bumpers. |

I haven't tried Scalerfab front bumpers, but can say good things about their rock sliders and rear bumper for the G6 SCX10. Both are really well made and reasonably priced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have their trail bumper and one of the d-ring mounts came off after repeated hits. No biggie, still have one good one holding strong. As for the stinger, its likely to bend anyway. Even my bgr stinger is bent but its actually helps the approach angle so im not mad. |

Just installed Scalerfab sliders with skids today. Troy and Casey have moved back to Colorado and were at the event Sunday. RC4WD reached out to me today and said it looks like I got a defective piece and offered to replace it. Very cool of them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
