| Traxxas Shocks?
I'm sure this has been answered before, but I've done a lot of looking and can't find it. I've seen that a lot of people run Traxxas shocks on their SCX10, but I can't figure out how. How are you supposed to attach the top of the shock to the shock hoop? Without a ball (like the stock Axial shocks have), the shock seems to cause binding in the suspension since it can't twist around as much. Is there a way to modify the Traxxas shocks to work? Pics would be helpful, or just a good explanation of how you did it!

Proline 6063-05 if you want to do it the correct way with actual shock balls. DLux fab also makes very nice upper shock balls for Traxxas big bores.

I used the shoulder screws and washers leftover from upgrading the shocks on my nitro Slash, Traxxas pn 3642 and 2746. You can pick up a set of the shoulder screws for <$3: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...FQVsfgodVmsLrg And the washers for < $2: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...FYmffgodUJkHVg You can also get nylon washers with the correct id and od at most hardware stores if you want thicker spacers. The Traxxas shoulder screws have Phillips heads, which is a drawback, but they're cheap and do the job. McMaster-Carr probably has shoulder screws with socket heads. For the shocks, Traxxas 3760's work well and are only $12 for a set (but plastic bodies); nicer big bores with aluminum bodies, TiNi shafts, ... are apparently only $18 per set.
