Default SCX10 skid no mounting holes

I'm looking for a scx10 skid that has no mounting holes predrilled. Does anyone have any suggestions for a source of supply?

Try toyzuki, I am sure he wouldn't mind not drilling holes in his skids

Performance 3d solutions on FB might be able to print without holes also.

Just out of curiosity, what did you plan on using it for?

I have a scx10 aftermarket frame that currently has an axial skid in it. I am using a forward mounted tranny and a skid mounted transfer case. The stock skid doesn't have enough meat on it for a solid mounting. I was thinking a solid skid where I can transfer the hole pattern then drill and recess new mounting holes.

I'll assume you are referencing the center skid ?
Would be helpful to tell us what frame (chassis) is being utilized.

What's this " not enough meat " mean exactly ?
thickness - width ?

...pictures detailing ?

What does " solid skid " mean ?
Thickness or width of say Steel plate - Delrin plate ?

^ Pictures make for a better understanding.

There are production alloy skids... Delrin skids...
and even custom homebrew skids... available.
anywhere from 1/4" - 3/8" thick.

But with your limited information/lack of detail...
Some of us are unable to ascertain exactly what your wants/needs are.

Which transfer case are you using?

The GCM t-case lines up with the 2 outer holes in most skidplates so only 2 holes have to be drilled. I'm using the TSS skid for my project but any of the flat delrin skids work well for this purpose, the extra holes end up on the blank side of the skid.

There should be plenty of space to drill holes for a RC4WD t-case as well.

Not enough meat means that many are recessed to save weight I am assuming.

I just grabbed a generic skid, but you can see the recesses in it.

I am hoping to find something like this without any pre drilled holes.

I currently have this t-case installed.

Currently I am using one stock hole, then 3 others with washer shims, Im looking to get a solid mounting surface.

...gotcha

Not sure who makes one that sells one undrilled...

But if it were made of Delrin or steel that would be best.

Aluminum, tho' maybe durable, doesn't slide on/off the rocks very well.

Maybe if ya contact these folk...
they can make one without holes drilled ?
