| Raised Chassis + CMS Geometry
Hello, I am thinking of getting a raised chassis such as the TSS SCXHR one, but I have a CMS and I think that raising the chassis would change the Panhard link and tie rod geometry, because the chassis/servo mounting points would be higher up than they would have been before. Could someone please clarify whether or not a raised chassis would affect my CMS geometry? Thank you! http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...upgrade-4.html |

It does change the geometry but nothing too serious. I have the TSS chassis and I used the same Vanquish CMS links as on the regular chassis but had to unscrew the rod ends a few turns on the panhard to lengthen it a bit. Also swapped one of the drag link rod ends to a Jato end for some extra length. Once the proper lengths of the links are nailed down, the additional clearance will let the suspension cycle with unrestricted movement. I could never get full travel on the passenger side with the stock chassis. |
