| Best parts for 100$?
I recently got a super good deal on eBay for an scx10 ii with tons of upgrades. The truck was fully converted to a three link with hand brothers pan hard kit, new ssd axles with hd gears and tons more. I got a 100$ for Christmas, and need to get a new Lipo, but with the remaining 60$ or so, what are some good parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was trying to find bumpers, cause the rear broke in shipping and the front bottoms out on rocks a lot. Thanks for the feed back! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I believe SSD has some bumpers that offer more clearence for the front may check them out. sounds like its pretty well upgraded with most of the parts ppl usually upgrade. so it maybe just upgrades you want and not necessarily what is needed, which is the fun part lol |

im sure someone will chime in with maybe a few more suggestions. what motor and esc is currently in the rig? may save up and get a brushless system from holmes hobbies, if its not brushless already just a thought. |

I am going to guess the servo it has is probably still the Tactic TSX45, if it does, it isn't technically Full Metal Gears. The TSX45 has a plastic gear that is prone to stripping, you can either get a different Servo and or take and go on E-Bay and try and find the metal gear upgrade for it, it's a bit of a pain to find though, but it is typically $9.99 for the part. I will say the Holmes Hobbies Motor/ESC is a good upgrade route, a bit expensive but good. Either way you go whether brushed or brushless is a great option from Holmes Hobbies. A lot of people are going with a 540 2700kv option from Holmes Hobbies as well as his trailmaster BLE Pro ESC. I personally went with a 2700kv Stubby (didn't have 2700kv in standard) and a Castle Mamba Max Pro that I waterproofed myself. Last edited by malickie; 12-26-2016 at 10:59 AM. |

It sounds like you either got an SCX10 original or someone removed the axles and panhard from an SCX10 II and installed axles, front links and panhard that were designed for the original SCX10. SSD doesn't make axle housings for the SCX10 II yet, and the SCX10II comes stock with chassis mounted servo and panhard. Doesn't mean it is a bad rig, just sounds like it isn't a complete SCX10 II. I've been liking these glacier lipos. My buddy the quad/engineer guy gave me 2 3s's to try. They seem to be a decent price online.

RC4WD or SSD stamped steel beadlocks with Proline or CI foams. 2200mah lipos, way better crawling ability, carry a couple spares in your pack and change them out. 5000mah and big batteries in SCX10 really kill the crawling ability. |
