| Our SCX10s...
I've had my Honcho for a few years now, played with it off and on but never really got serious. Fast forward to 2016 and my brother picks one up and then starts the snowball of upgrades to outperform each other. 110mm kings, Savox Servo, my own shock towers, aluminum links, battery/electronics tray, Proline Swampers on Denali beadlocks, Frequeskinz wrap and some scale details, RC4WD 35T motor, Ae5 ESC, and front bumper from the rubicon kit. Then I got a little crazy with a small backyard crawling course... that got out of hand after about 5 truckloads of rock. It's still not finished. So after this my brother tells me that he got both his boys 1/10 scale crawlers for Christmas, so I had to get my boys some crawlers as well (they have been wanting them anyway) I got my youngest a stock SCX10 Deadbolt since he loves the Monster energy racers, Shannon Campbell, BJ Baldwin, Ken Block, etc.. The real gem of the bunch however is the rolling chassis I picked up from my brother to build for my 10 year old, the wheelbase was already shortened to 11 inches and since my oldest loves the old Chevys, I went with the proline 50s chevy body to match his stampede. I built some bumpers, got some RC4WD wagon wheels and mounted them to the stock ripsaw tires, I picked up a Tactic servo, RC4WD 35T and AE5 ESC, and tactic radio for it to match little brothers. I shortened the SCX10 rock sliders to tuck them in, made a chassis mount for the servo, and shortened the frame up front to make it all fit. I still need to mount electronics but I'll post more pictures once I do so. I just bought an LCG chassis for my honcho as well as a BEC finally, I will be playing with some shock tuning as well to get that all dialed in, I need to make some plates for the 50 chevy shock mounts to lower it just a tick and it will be ready to go. |

Built my brother a cage for his Honcho It's hinged at the rear and ends short of the rear tires to make the best departure angle you could have. |

Did some trail running recently, my oldest son's 50 chevy still seems to just work really well for being so simple! I also made some steel lower links and aluminum uppers for my youngest's Deadbolt, I'm about to put some beadlocks on his as well. |
